Dear Eddie,

Many thanks to Mrs Thackray, to you, Michele and the plant stall lady(!) for an amazing day yesterday. Our group thought the garden was fantastic and an absolute credit to you all. Hopefully we shall all be able to return to see the new developments in a couple of years.
The trouble now is next year I have to better or at least equal  Littlethorpe in my choice of garden to visit from the NGS  book! It won’t be possible! I forewarned them yesterday!
Thank you once again for a great day.
Kind regards,
Susan Knowles (Eccleshall Barnardos Helpers)

Dear Eddie,

Just to say Thank You so much for putting on such a wonderful evening for us yesterday.  Everyone was delighted with the whole event, and we thought the garden looked magical and so did the marquee!  The wine and canapes were a lovely start to the evening too, and I could quite believe that it took the young lady 6 hours to make them!
So thank you again, and congratulations to the whole team for orchestrating the evening so well and making us feel so welcome.

On behalf of the Stamford Bridge Gardening Club, I would like to thank Michelle and yourself for the guided trip and hospitality that you provided last night. All those attending were very happy with their visit and there appears to be demand for another visit, maybe next year, at a different time of the year. Many thanks also to Mr and Mrs Thackray for allowing us to visit their private residence. It is a truly wonderful and inspiring garden.

Dear Eddie,

Just a line to say thankyou for such a delightful visit yesterday! I think you could possibly tell how much the group enjoyed (and marvelled) at all that you, with Michele and Tina, have achieved and maintain over the years!
Unlike many gardens we visit with possibly a similar acreage, the scale of each of Littlethorpe’s areas makes it particularly enjoyable and welcoming – we could almost imagine our gardens looking similar (if only we had the imagination and skills!) All this was topped with an amazing amount of colour for mid September (which you had said there would be).
All in all we had a thoroughly enjoyable visit thanks to your tour and we would be grateful if you could pass our thanks also to Mr & Mrs Thackray for the privilege of enjoying your handiwork!
We hope to see you again,
Best wishes

Formal letter of thanks will follow, but just wanted to thank you and the team for an excellent afternoon and for making everyone so welcome. One of our members described the gardens as "heavenly", quite appropriate as he had been in Ripon Cathedral all morning!
Kind regards

Dear Christin,
It’s about time I give you some feedback on group visit July 21st this year. Littlethorpe Manor is a wonderful place and Edward Harland an excellent guide, not to talk about the arrival and the superior lunch arrangement. What a way to start a group tour in Yorkshire.

Dear Mr and Mrs Thackray

A very sincere thankyou for sharing your private paradise with us yesterday morning. You were most kind and hospitable, the delicious coffee and cake a great reviver after such an in-depth and fascinating tour.
I have visited many gardens including Highgrove and nothing can compare with such bold vision and design concept in a comparatively new creation. My warmest thanks for sharing this dream in collaboration with Eddie, Michele and Tina, your most capable gardeners. Your brave move to get the bones right have resulted in a house at ease with its landscape. Then the glorious planting, colour combinations, the flush of foliage, the cosmetics of flowers, all in lavish abundance yet brilliantly controlled. I could not have been more impressed.
Thankyou so very much for your kindness and the pleasure you gave us all.
Yours sincerely
